Publishing Philosophy
Respect for the writer. Care for the manuscript. Responsibility to the reader.
Six Commitments
The principles beneath every editorial decision, agreement and publishing stage at Vangmaya Publishing.
Originality
We value original thought, distinctive voices and work that respects the rights of others.
Editorial Integrity
Editorial decisions are guided by thoughtful assessment and professional standards.
Author Partnership
Clear communication and written agreements underpin our relationship with each author.
Quality
Careful editing, considered design and responsible production shape the publishing journey.
Transparency
Evaluation, rights, responsibilities and commercial terms are discussed clearly.
Responsible Publishing
We approach literature with respect for readers, authors, culture and intellectual property.
Creative Freedom, Considered Development
Editing should strengthen a work without erasing the author’s voice. We discuss the reasons behind editorial suggestions and make space for an author’s response. The scope of editing and the approval stages are agreed for each engagement.
Rights & Honest Representation
Authors must hold the rights to submit their work and identify quotations, third-party material and permissions that may be needed. We do not invent endorsements, reviews, credentials or publishing claims, and we do not equate an editorial originality review with certified plagiarism detection.
Clear Expectations from the Start
A manuscript request is not acceptance. A quote describes a proposed engagement; a generated agreement is not execution. Publication, promotion, distribution and financial arrangements follow the agreed scope and executed terms.
A Partnership throughout the Journey
From initial assessment to proofs and royalty administration, our approach is to keep responsibilities visible and decisions documented. The author’s creative contribution and the reader’s trust remain central.
A Philosophy in Practice

Every submission is subject to editorial and commercial evaluation; submission does not guarantee publication.
